Born and bred in Dublin, she has been part of the English-speaking theatre scene in Switzerland for almost 40 years, after moving to Geneva in the late 1980s to take up a position with a UN specialised agency. Her stage work there includes roles such as Beatrice in Much Ado About Nothing with the Geneva English Drama Society (dir. Ben Crystal), M’Lynn in Steel Magnolias (dir. Neil-Jon Morphy), and Gwendolen in The Importance of Being Earnest (dir. Jenny Buffle).  She is the holder of a RADA Shakespeare Platinum Award and has participated in numerous RADA short courses over the past 10 years.

Gillian is now focused on expanding her creative work across Ireland and the UK, while also seeking opportunities in film, television, and commercial work
