Michael Ievers

Michael Ievers is an actor and director from Northern Ireland. He trained at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London. 

As a director, Michael was commissioned by Belfast City Hall to direct BLACKNESS AFTER MIDNIGHT for the Titanic centenary. He also wrote and directed BOBBY SAVAGE’S SECRET WAR which was performed in Belfast to critical acclaim.

On stage, Michael has just toured the UK and Ireland in a leading roles in Bright Umbrella’s production of STUCK IN THE MIDDLE WITH YOU. He previously worked with Bright Umbrella on their production of ME OUL SEGOCIA by Stewart Love in November. 

On screen he has just wrapped opposite Patricia Hodge in the upcoming series of MARBLE HALL MURDERS and will soon be seen in MURDER MOST PUZZLING for Channel 5. Michael can also currently be seen as Bill in BBC’s HOPE STREET and features as Ben Maloney in the TV series, SANCTUARY, directed by Justin Molotnikov, and starring Elish Liburd and Elaine Cassidy.

In earlier years, he represented Ireland playing Joe in WINNERS (Friel) at the World Drama Festival in Japan in 1985, and he was the first winner of the Colin Blakely Award at the Grand Opera House, Belfast in 1987 (Adj: Bob Thomson), and winner of the AUDF Gold Medal in 1996 & 2009.
