Breda Hegarty is an award-winning comedian and versatile actor from Cork. She has played a wide range of roles, most recently appearing as Concepta in Season 4 of the hit series Harry Wild and as the Nightmare Matron in Netflix's The Hardacres. She is a fluent Irish speaker and has played the role of Dochtúir Andy in the long-running Irish-language drama Ros na Rún, as well as the lead female role in the "All for You" music video by acclaimed musician Cian Ducrot.

An emerging star of Irish comedy, Breda has been picking up awards along the way. She was named Best New Act 2025 at the Bray Comedy Festival, won Best Comedian at the DICFF Stand-Up Competition, was a semi-finalist in the BBC Funny Women Competition 2025, and was selected by BBC Funny Women as a "One to Watch" in 2025.

She has performed on the Bleedin' Massive Stage at the Paddy Power Comedy Festival, as well as at Vicar Street, The Laughter Lounge, the Edinburgh Fringe, and Electric Picnic. She has supported Fred Cooke, Chris Kent, Jarlath Regan, Shane Daniel Byrne, and Killian Sundermann, and has shared the stage with David O'Doherty, Adam Bloom, Colin Murphy, Emma Doran, and Adam Rowe. She has also recently been writing and filming comedy sketches with Joe.ie.

Breda is currently developing her one-woman show.
