Gerard is an actor and physical theatre artist from Belfast.

Gerard is played the leading role in The Boy Who Kicked Pigs with Bruiser Theatre Company, which is currently touring Ireland. He played the lead role in the production to rave reviews — “Gerard Headley is magnetic, bringing touching depth to a role that could easily have been one-dimensional.” He has also just completed a development week with BRÚ Theatre in Galway on their movement piece, Scothscéalta.

Gerard will star alongside Anthony Boyle and Jessica Reynolds in Michael Magee’s forthcoming series for Channel 4, Close to Home.

He has just wrapped on the short film Human Tupperware and has also completed filming on Fried, a Screen Ireland short opposite Rachel Galvo.

He trained at the Youth Lyric in Belfast and at the Northern School of Contemporary Dance in Leeds.

Gerard has just completed two international tours: Specky Clark, a heavily scripted physical theatre show by Irish theatre maker Oona Doherty; and his second show, Mosh, by Irish theatre maker Rachel Ní Bhraonáin.

Gerard also performed in Eugene Onegin with Northern Ireland Opera
