Serena Terry is a Derry-born actor, comedian, writer and content creator, whose distinctive combination of warmth, sharp comic timing and naturalistic performance has established her as one of Northern Ireland’s most recognisable comedy voices.

She made her screen debut in the final series of Channel 4’s acclaimed comedy DERRY GIRLS, playing RUC Officer Reid alongside the show’s ensemble cast and Liam Neeson, and has since continued to develop her work across screen and stage. In 2026, Serena premiered her first one-woman play, FACTORY SETTINGS, at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe, following the success of her sold-out stand-up shows and UK and Ireland tours.

She is also the creator and performer behind the hugely successful online comedy persona Mammy Banter, which has amassed millions of followers across TikTok, Instagram and Facebook through sharply observed sketches exploring family life, motherhood, relationships and mental health. Serena became the first female comedian to sell out Belfast’s SSE Arena, with her latest live show, Therapy, touring throughout 2026. Alongside her performance work, she is a Sunday Times bestselling author of The Secret Life of an Uncool Mum and The Sh!te Before Christmas, and was named TikTok Breakout Star in 2022 before going on to win the Funny Women Content Creator Award.
